Pillow Care Instructions

DAILY CARE:

Although not absolutely necessary, a daily fluffing of your pillow in the morning before the bed is made will do 2 things:

  1. Help keep the fill springy and soft, and
  2. Allow air flow through the fill, keeping it fresher longer between launderings

LAUNDERING:

Using any detergent, machine wash on cold.  No need to wash on warm or hot.  Modern detergents work equally, if not better, on cold. Machine dry on a low or medium settiing.  For more efficient results, add a couple of dryer balls to loosen the fill and dry more quickly.

Once out of the dryer, reshape the pillow by grabbing two corners and vigorously thumping it; repeat with the opposite corners.  Roll or knead to finish the fluffing and reshaping.

As for how often you should wash your pillow, that really is up to you.. You can go as long as once a year or as little as once a month.  More often than that is probably unnecessary unless it is being used in a particularly high-use way, such as a preschool, for instance.
